Troll 2 Concept Art

I’m happy to share some more of the work I did on Troll 2! Once again it was a dream come true and a privilege to be able to design trolls with the director, Roar Uthaug.
This post shows the final design we landed on for Jotun and the concept 3D model I made. More to come in other posts!

Thank you so much Roar and MotionBlur for letting me join the team and design something that I’m proud to have contributed to! Thank you to everyone on the production for making such a cool and unique film about our folklore traditions here in Norway! Hoping to see more trolls in a potential TROLL3!

For the design process I started the work with 2D sketches to find the look, working closely with the director. Once we had a good direction then I designed it further with a lot of detail in 3D. This was provided along with reference and art direction to previz and VFX so they would have a good starting point to work from.
